The estimated investment required on adding the capacity is Rs250cr. Gulshan Polyols informed the exchanges Thursday that it has initiated the process of setting up a 300KLPD ‘Grain-based Ethanol Manufacturing Facility’ at its existing site at Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh for which process for applying Environment Clearance and ordering of Plant & Machinery has started. The existing capacity of the site at Chhindwara is 60KLPD Ethanol/ENA and utilization is 100%. Proposed capacity addition 300KLPD Ethanol. The project is expected to be on stream shortly, after receiving Environmental Clearance. The proposed capacity is to be added within two years. The estimated investment required on adding the capacity is Rs250cr. “Based on Government of India’s 'Ethanol Blending Petroleum Programs’ of selling, petrol blended with Ethanol upto 20% by 2025 (Currently it is blending 5% Only). Hence, the Management is very much enthusiastic about future outlook of Ethanol Business,” company shared rationale behind the addition in its regulatory filing on Thursday.
