Hike in ethanol prices

The Union Cabinet approved the proposal to hike price of ethanol derived from C-Heavy Molasses, which was not raised since the 2022-23 ethanol supply year (November-October).
The government has set new rates of ethanol as following: Produced from cane juice at Rs 65.61/ litre , B-Heavy molasses at Rs 60.73/ litre, and C-Heavy molasses at Rs 57.97/ litre as against earlier price of RS 56.28 .
